Advantage Capital is seeking a staff accountant in our New Orleans office to support its accounting and financial reporting functions. This position offers the opportunity to own the recording of various data points and reporting for many of our funds and will have a variety of responsibilities, including supporting various aspects of the financial cycle including working with trustees, assisting in the treasury function, communicating with investors and lenders, and preparation of quarterly financial statements.

With investments in 36 states and the District of Columbia, Advantage Capital invests under 46 distinct federal and state economic development programs, including the New Markets, low-income housing and solar tax credit programs as well as other state-based programs that incentivize small business investing. Our investors include some of the nation’s largest insurance companies and banks. Advantage Capital is an SEC-registered investment adviser.

This is an opportunity to join an accounting team of ten professionals.
Education and Experience Required:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
  •  1-3 years of public accounting or similar private company experience;
  •  Working knowledge of accounting principles;
  •  Ability to work with multiple priorities;
  •  Intermediate excel knowledge; and
  •  Strong problem solving skills.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Benefits include an annual
